Srinagar, July 18: Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo has said that any decision regarding the extension of summer vacations in schools will be taken only after a thorough assessment of the prevailing weather conditions and other relevant factors. Responding to growing demands from parents and students, the minister stated that the government is closely monitoring the situation and will take an appropriate decision keeping students’ safety and well-being as the top priority.
Itoo said the authorities are evaluating all aspects before arriving at a final decision, urging parents and students not to pay heed to rumours circulating on social media. She assured that an official announcement would be made once the review process is completed.
