A resident of Faridabad has been arrested for assisting the suicide bomber involved in the deadly November 10 blast near Delhiās Red Fort. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said that Soyab, a resident of Dhauj, was arrested for harbouring terrorist Umar Un Nabi immediately before the attack. He also provided logistical support to Umar ahead of the blast, the agency added.
Soyab becomes the seventh accused held in connection with the explosion that killed 13 people and injured nearly two dozen others.
According to the NIA, the attack was part of a white-collar terror module linked to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad. Several of Umarās associates from Al Falah University ā Shaheen Saeed, Muzammil Shakeel, and Adeel Rather ā are already in custody.
Sources suggest the group was planning serial blasts across major Indian cities. The NIA continues extensive searches across states, pursuing leads to uncover the full conspiracy behind the terror attack.
