Jammu, September 16, 2026 (JK Patrika): Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman of The Shri Ram Universal School, Jammu, has been honoured with the prestigious Education Laureate Honour by Education Today, recognising nearly 35 years of dedicated service, leadership and contribution to the field of education.
The distinguished honour celebrates education leaders whose vision, leadership and sustained contributions have made a significant impact on K–12 education. The recognition marks an important milestone in Mr Gupta’s long educational journey, which began when he entered the profession at the age of 25.
Driven by a strong passion for Chemistry and education, Sanjeev Gupta went on to establish himself as a prominent Chemistry educator in Jammu. His commitment to teaching and mentoring extended beyond classroom instruction, eventually inspiring him to build an institution focused on providing students with a broader and more future-oriented educational experience.
In 2018, Mr Gupta established The Shri Ram Universal School, Jammu, at Jakh, Vijaypur, Samba, with a vision of creating an educational environment that goes beyond conventional academics. Within a relatively short period, the institution has developed as a pioneer in holistic and future-oriented education, placing emphasis on academics alongside values, leadership, creativity, sports and essential life skills.
The Education Laureate Honour acknowledges Mr Gupta’s sustained contributions to teaching, mentoring, institutional development and educational leadership. Mr Gupta was formally honoured at the North Educators’ Summit 2026, held at The Westin, Gurugram. The summit serves as a prominent platform bringing together education leaders, educators and stakeholders from across North India to discuss developments, challenges and emerging opportunities in the education sector.
