Juárez Valley, Mexico, October 22, 2026 (JK Patrika): A mysterious creature reportedly captured in camera-trap images in Mexico’s Valley of Juárez, near the US-Mexico border, has sparked speculation about its identity and possible origins. Mexican UFO investigator Jaime Maussan has claimed that the animal could be an unidentified predator unlike commonly known species, prompting renewed debate among paranormal enthusiasts and skeptics.
The creature allegedly appeared in images released by Maussan’s team on October 17. According to reports, the pale-coloured animal has prominent limbs and a long tail. Maussan claims that it may be responsible for attacks on chickens, roosters and rabbits in the rural farming communities of Chihuahua, along the Rio Grande.
Creature Reportedly Nearly Six Feet Long
During a press conference, four research assistants working with Maussan reportedly estimated that the creature measured nearly six feet from head to tail, including a tail approximately three feet long. Their estimate was based on comparisons with a brick wall that the animal was reportedly seen climbing.
The team claimed that the creature did not appear to resemble familiar animals such as rodents, raccoons, rats or rabbits commonly found in the region. Maussan has also suggested that the animal possesses unusual agility and may be capable of moving upright on two legs.
However, the available camera-trap descriptions have not established the creature’s species, and the reported footage has not provided conclusive evidence that it is an unknown animal.
Claims of Farm Animal Attacks
Maussan reportedly began investigating the case after hearing accounts from local residents about missing or killed poultry. One alleged sighting involved a young boy who reportedly saw the creature grab a chicken by the head and climb a nearby tree.
The claims have attracted attention in the Valley of Juárez, where farming communities have reportedly expressed concern over the alleged incidents. However, the reports of livestock attacks and the creature’s involvement remain unverified.
According to reports cited by El Paso Times, authorities have not received corresponding complaints about unusual animal deaths or sightings. Juárez Civil Protection reportedly said it had received no reports of an unusual creature or related incidents, while authorities on the Texas side of the border also reported no corresponding cases.
Is It an Alien or an Unknown Species?
The case has generated speculation about extraterrestrial life and paranormal phenomena. Maussan has raised the possibility that the creature might not be an alien in the conventional sense but could allegedly be an interdimensional entity.
He has questioned why the creature appeared in the area and whether it could be connected to other unidentified beings. These suggestions, however, remain speculation rather than scientifically established explanations.
No publicly confirmed scientific evidence has demonstrated that the animal is extraterrestrial, originates from another dimension or represents a previously unknown species. Its identity and any connection to the alleged livestock attacks remain undetermined.
Maussan’s Previous UFO Investigations
Maussan has investigated UFO sightings and paranormal claims for decades. In 2023, he presented specimens described as “non-human” mummies during a hearing in Mexico’s Congress, claiming they were evidence of extraterrestrial life. Those claims were disputed, and the presentation did not establish that the specimens were extraterrestrial.
His involvement in the Valley of Juárez case has therefore drawn interest as well as skepticism. Observers have called for independently verifiable evidence before accepting claims about the creature’s origins.
For now, the mysterious animal remains unidentified in the available reports, and there is no verified evidence linking it to alien activity. Further examination of the images, independent wildlife expertise and reliable evidence would be needed to determine what was captured by the cameras.
