New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi interacted with a group of eminent economists and experts at NITI Aayog earlier today. The theme of the interaction was “Aatmanirbharta and Structural Transformation: Agenda for Viksit Bharat.”
During the interaction, the Prime Minister highlighted that the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 has evolved into a mass aspiration of the people of India. He emphasized the need for mission-mode reforms across sectors to sustain long-term economic growth, strengthen India’s global capabilities, and align policymaking as well as budgeting processes with the 2047 vision.
The economists and experts shared strategic insights on enhancing productivity and competitiveness across the manufacturing and services sectors. Discussions also focused on accelerating structural transformation through robust infrastructure development and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), along with the continued scaling of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).
The interaction underlined the importance of innovation-driven, technology-enabled and inclusive economic policies in achieving the goals of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and realizing the vision of a developed India.
